Gianni della Rovere successfully completed his fifth month of siege at Cracow. SIEGES FOR JUNE - ANSBACH: Besieged by Jens Brostrup, Archbishop of Lund GAETA: Besieged by Marcello Maestri, Magistrate of SanGiovanni PRZEMYSL: Besieged by Christine Jagellon, Magistrate of Marienburg MUNICH: Besieged by Victorin Podebrad, Duke of Opava CRACOW: Besieged by Gianni Rovere, King of Sinigaglia MAY EVENTS - In an urban battle fought inside of Neutra while the tenant looked on from a tower, the 25-man garrison (LOY=982) was attacked and defeated by Sigismund Jagiello, Bishop of Breslau, with (M=656) 3,461 auxiliaries, 1,000 arquebusiers, 400 archers, 366 heavy cavalry and 420 crew. The Bishop, thereby, gained de facto controller over the town. At Przemysl (FAR=80), Christine Jagellon (G=60), Magistrate of Marienburg, subjected the walls to siege bombardment with her 2 cannons. One of these self- destructed while inflicting no damage. Piotr Petrus (G=0) then engaged in counter-battery fire with his seven cannons, one of which self-destructed while destroying no additional Jagellon cannons. At Exeter, the Kinizsi family tower (FAS=10), which was defended by one tower garrison troop, was captured by assault by Gervase Wimsey, Magistrate of Exeter, with his 1,470 auxiliaries (M=973). At Gloucester, the Aviz family tower (FAS=24), which was defended by two tower garrison troops, was captured by assault by Edward Talbot, Magistrate of Gloucester, with 848 auxiliaries (M=999). At Bern, the Spinola family tower (FAS=31), which was defended by three tower garrison troops, was captured by assault by Henry Talbot, a baron, with (M=850) 36,947 auxiliaries, 36,000 arquebusiers, 10,000 pikemen and 5,000 heavy cavalry. Kausrau Qitada gave up the title of Emir of Antioch and claimed that of Emir of Aljazeera. Hilal Alatrash claimed the title of Emir of Antioch. Outside Palermo, Lukas Beviski, Magistrate of Bern, and his 3,019 crew (M=831), were attacked and killed by Lazarus Goldli, Magistrate of Enos, with 207,460 auxiliaries, 20,000 pikemen, 10,000 arquebusiers, 30,000 archers and 690 crew. 758 barques were captured.
