Henri was killed. 2,439,466 ducats, 104 cannons, 5,915 grain, 928 salt fish, 43,572 iron, 14,078 small arms and 9,645 arquebuses were also captured. The town of Perigueux (FAS=999), which was defended by Laurent A. Terrail, Bishop of Grenoble, with (M=745) 2,482 auxiliaries and 23 garrison troops, was captured by assault by Milon Villiers with (M=999) 239,846 auxiliaries, 42,852 arquebusiers, 5,792 pikemen and 7,200 archers. The Bishop was killed. 3,424,870 ducats, 2,283 horses, 68,517 grain, 4,000 wine, 1,133 iron and 639 small arms were also captured. While Albert Hohenzollern, Archbishop of Prague, the town's DFC, looked on from his tower, de facto control was taken (without opposition) by Horst Brostrup with (M=999) 4,952 arquebusiers, 10,257 auxiliaries, 1,300 pikemen, 1,100 archers and 490 crew. Pilgrimages to Canterbury were completed by Gilbert Gordon, Duke of Huntly, and Richard Rotheram, Magistrate of Canterbury. At Lemberg (FAR=298, FAS=999) Gregor Lipa (G=167), Magistrate of Hanover, subjected the walls to siege bombardment with his 19 cannons. One of these self-destructed while inflicting no damage. Rafal Tarnowski (G=882), Duke of Wojnik, then engaged in counter-battery fire with his four cannons, destroying two Lipan cannons while one ducal cannon self-destructed. The Beck family tower (FAS=20) at Munich, which was defended by two tower garrison troops, was captured by assault by Vacha Jicin with (M=937) 5,998 auxiliaries. Inside Montauban, while the town's DFC, Cardinal Jean Villiers, looked on from a tower, de facto control was taken by Cardinal Julien Latremouille with (M=999) 452,200 auxiliaries who defeated the town's garrison of 388 troops (LOY=528) while suffering 21 casualties. Outside Lemberg, Jan Amor Tarnowski, Duke of Belz, and his (M=813) 118,397 auxiliaries, 7,462 arquebusiers, 10,529 pikemen, 20,586 archers and 11,275 unmounted heavy cavalry attempted to cross the siege lines manned by Gregor Lipa, Magistrate of Hanover, and his (M=855) 77,070 auxiliaries, 60,547 arque- busiers, 3,464 pikemen, 10,162 archers, 1,292 unmounted heavy cavalry, 952 crew and (G=167) 16 cannons. After nine hours of battle, the morale of the ducal forces was reduced to 91. The Duke retreated with his surviving 77,720 auxil- iaries, 4,900 arquebusiers, 8,702 pikemen, 13,515 archers and 9,409 unmounted heavy cavalry. Of the besieging forces, 61,644 auxiliaries, 48,289 arquebusiers, 866 pikemen, 8,122 archers, 323 unmounted heavy cavalry and 933 crew survived the battle with a morale of 707.
